How it all began
Katy and Steve met on their first date at the Three Wise Monkeys, a bar in Colchester.
Katy turned up totally overdressed in leather trousers and red lace heels and Steve was sat waiting in his signature red plaid shirt and boots.
They immediately hit it off and the evening was full of laughter, dancing, their first kiss and ended with a stranger asking whether he would be invited to their wedding!
The Proposal!
Steve whisked Katy away for a romantic weekend in Bath, staying at a beautiful country house tucked away in the countryside.
Despite it being November, the sun was shining brightly — one of those unexpectedly perfect, crisp days that feels like a little gift. While exploring the grounds, the two of them wandered down to the river for a peaceful walk.
At one point, Steve set up his tripod, saying he wanted to take a photo together. Katy thought nothing of it — just a lovely moment to capture.
But as he walked back towards her, everything changed.
Instead of standing beside her, Steve got down on one knee.
In that quiet, sunlit moment by the river, he asked the question — and Katy said yes 🤍
